Non-surgical Openbite Correction
Presentation
- Gap at front of mouth.
- Contact only on back teeth.
- Prolonged thumb sucking.
Treatment
- Thumb sucking stopped to prevent relapse in correction following treatment.
- Fixed appliances with loss of wisdom teeth.
- Mini-implants to intrude back teeth and correct anterior open bite, without jaw surgery.
- Excellent result obtained which was unchanged at last follow up (2 years).
