Case 2
Surgical
Presentation:
Short lower jaw.
Upper teeth pushed back by lower lip to meet lower teeth (Retroclined).
A number of teeth with large fillings.
Treatment:
Extraction of both lower second premolars (LR5 LL5) which were crowned and also of worse prognosis.
Fixed appliances.
Upper teeth moved forwards in line with upper jaw.
Lower teeth aligned back with lower jaw.
Lower jaw surgically moved forwards.
An excellent bite obtained.
Improvement in dental and facial profile aesthetics.
